Ok lets look at it from another direction. You have 19 or 20 year old springs. Adding another light weight spring might work for a few years before your STILL working original springs give away even more. So you will be back patching them again.
If you go ahead and spend the $250 you will most likely get another 19 or 20 years out of your new springs. Do it right the first time and it will be DONE!
