Here in the Interior, it's seismic zone 3. I live near an active fault, so we get little tremors quite often.

In winter, we get lots of wind out there, so hurricane clips are going to be integrated when the roof goes on (next year I hope!!!).

I borrowed a friends' Kestrel a couple winters ago; ziptied it to a 20' pole and scoped the speed thru binoculars-- summer solar, winter wind baby!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> I can get into a household system for $6K, but that's another topic.
