Should be a piece of cake for a high school graduate! Big Jim

Seriously, this is a friend of mine and he was told it was a 3 hour job and the guy wants about $500 to do this including the radiator. Is he getting shafted?

The guy is making over $300 for a job that ANY high school graduate should be able to do in less time than 3 hours. 1. Take the fan cowling off of the radiator. 2. Take the hoses off of the radiator. 3. pull the radiator out 4. Install the new radiator 5. Install the hoses 6 reinstall the fan cowling 7. Fill with coolant.
The only alternate would be if auto tranny... if so tranny hoses (tubing) would need to be R&R'd from the old one to the new one. Big JIm

I agree with Jim, I just did the Radiator on my 99 XJ a few months back, and it took all of about an hour ish to get it all apart, and maybe about half an hour to get the new radiator in. I spent ~$165.00 for the radiator. Having done this once, I would be willing to bet I could do the whole thing in about an hour now. I can't see a grand cherokee being that different from a cherokee sport. No special tools are required either.
