I'll take some pics tonight. It's a beast of a piece of steel.

Mark, that SOB is heavy and wide, I may very well take you up on your offer. It makes an ARB or TJM feel like tin foil. The finish work is real rough and my air grinder gave up the death gasp this afternoon, gonna have to go get a new one on the way home tomorrow.

I'm feeling it though. I'm going to gather up my 4WP gift cards and go buy a winch.

No joke on the moose buster. That thing is awesome...I really like the cutouts..I'm guessing the factory lights fit there.

Check this local dude for a winch, Mike Berg said he got a good deal from Wil at:

It just won't look right without a winch

That Smittybilt 8K winch looks pretty good for the price. I've got like $150 worth of 4WP gift cards, making my actual cost about $150 out the door. One of the guys on Pirate bought one and said all good stuff (essentially) about its construction. For the price, etc. and the amount and conditions I would use it for on this truck, I'm pretty sure that it's the one I'll buy and order a rope from Rockstomper.

Update.

The bumper is getting there. A lot more finish work than I had expected for 900 bucks. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20 I suppose. Looks like my goal is install on Sunday with the winch mounted but not operational for another week.

OME stuff is assembled, but time is short so a local shop is going to do the install for cheap dollars.

Still need to order the synthetic rope, hawse fairlead, sliders and have a rear bumper built.

Missed the wheeling trip this last weekend, customer paid their bill (400K plus) so we made a big shipment Friday and Saturday. Took a promotion at work to run the whole friggin place, time is not my friend. HOWEVER, I stand by my promise to myself to get out more and have some fun.

What is the bumper, Shrockworks? I didn't care for the new body style Tacoma initially but I am warming up to them now. I haven't seen a rear bumper for them that I like though. I would do what you did with the 4Runner and just run the stocker until you tear it off on the trail.

Yup.

There's a shop in Houston that makes a nice rear bumper, I have tried and tried and cannot get a hold of the guy.

BTW, I tore up two stock bumpers on the 4Runner...

I'll be around Sunday if you need a hand getting that thing mounted. We have a family thing from about 1-3pm, other than that I'm free to help.
