i have never used grease in my hubs.. learned this from a buddy... when i work on my hubs i soak the gears in a heavy gear oil and reasemble them... have never had any trouble with this procedure and they have never rusted or goten stuck on me ...i usually pull them apart every year and redo them when im checking things out
