Hey everybody, Are you guys and gals getting these pressed on using an actual press or is the shade tree mechanic method of pounding it on using the carcass of the old bearing and a hammer sufficient?
My e-brake locked up in the driver side rear wheel and the heat smoked the seal and bearing. Literally smoked. Thanks, --jeremy <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.

i gather you're talking about the wheel bearing on a rear D44. .. I use a long pipe sleeving the axle shaft and a BFH to drive it home... it can be done without a press.

Geez, glad that didnt happen to mine. My drivers side e-brake cable went bad and kept sticking on. It would eventually pop loose but I know that brake go pretty warm. Jerry hooked me up with another cable off an '01 rodeo and it got it changed out last week. Pain to do on 2nd gen rodeos, have to drop the tank to get to one of the brackets.
