No - there are safety implications in shutting down a motor when it is driving at freeway speeds, even if it is overheating and/or out of oil. Besides, the 22rte used a first generation digital ECU - very few frills and the only built-in safeguards, like the overboost fuel cut protection that is present, aren't all that well executed. Just be thankful the thing works at all <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
