Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
My parents just bought a 1989 Isuzu Trooper $1300.00 off a friend who bought it abought a 1 1/2 months ago for $600.00 put in a new fuel pump and thats it and sold it. The people who had it before wrote everything that had everything ever done to it in a book. It's a 4 banger 5 speed 4 WD with 173195 miles. It's stock would it be a good 4x4 rig on the weekends. I'm 17 and it's my first car. What can you do it?

These are awesome vehicles for off roading, even stock. If you search on here (make sure to change the search dates) you'll see many examples of what it can do and what can be done to it.

make sure the cooling system is in good working order oh that 4 banger. A coolant flush kit is cheap and should help out reagardless if its been done before or not. Good luck!

10-15K miles is probably a better guideline. As the valves wear, they actually get tighter. Too tight and they burn. It is cheap insurance in the long run.
Good Luck, Michael
