Anybody know what size the roll pin is for the cross shaft in a D44 with LSD case?

Put my locker in friday night and the roll pin didnt seem to go in as tight as I would like but I was too tired to worry about it at the time. Y'day I found out that my cover didnt seal very well so since I have to take it off again I'm going to replace the roll pin. Also recheck the torque on all the bolts.

Body Damage is Cool
not sure exactly slept since then.........it is a metric roll pin though that I remember........

good luck

ANd as for it not being tight enough for you:

I always "stake" the ends of both holes so the pin can't acccidently pop out.

If I was you I would just get a small sharp chisel and put a couple small "cuts" into the top of the holes, this will push asmall bit of material into the hole, efectively <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> making hole smaller.......

I hope that made since and it's alot easier than finding a metric roll pin.

I was affraid it would be metric. I'll stop by the stealership after work and see if they have one, though I doubt it. If I cant find one I'll just go with staking the ends (which I will also do if I do get one).

I ordered one from Isuzu and got it today. I'm much much happier with the way it went in. One less thing to constantly worry about.

For future reference it is 6x38 mm. I dont have a metric mic gauge but measured 0.237" which is 6.02mm and 1.5" long which is 38.1mm. The one I took out measures 0.227" which doesnt seem that much smaller but made a big difference.
