Need a Spot
Thanks to all for the additional info. A local ARB dealer contacted ARB and the bull bar for my SR would have to be imported from Australia. Didn't check on price yet. Tires and rock sliders first.

Anyone have a service manual for a '97 Montero. I just bought one online only to discover that it was for a Sport <smacks head> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />. Anyone need it? I've scoured the Internet and can't seem to find one for my '97. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ryany, did you go with the medium or heavy duty shocks?

Looked into the General Grabber AT2s in 32" or 33" and they're out of production until September. They got a pretty favorable review in Four Wheeler. After doing more reading I've decided I'll probably go with ATs mainly because my wife's biggest fear is hydroplaning and from what I understand most MTs aren't as good for wet roads and this is her daily driver. I'm looking at the BFG ATs at 33x10.50R15.

Found a place locally to rod out my radiator. He wants $150 for the job. Is this a good price?

Thanks again,
Banacheq

It's a tad high unless he's going to pull it for you. I paid about $70-90 when I carried it in. The clue to a good busy radiator shop is that the owner and all the help are sooty looking, and the shop is a sooty mess all the time. The only shiny thing is the radiators...

I'd pay it if that was the only good local choice. Ask a couple of gen mech shops who they use. I offer to pay for the advice. Usually get it free after I offer, though, and thanked for offering sometimes. Their time IS money...

Ditto the fan clutch. If I was planning on wheeling, I'd probably just go ahead and change it, as it's critical to very low speed high load (i.e., offroad wheeling) cooling.

Not responsible for advice not taken...
