OF MICHIGAN C CROWBAR OP Getting the Wheeling Fever 94 4-Runner 3.0L Auto Tranny One day last week I went to start this unit & got 1 click out of it when trying to engage the starter. I tried it 1 more time & it started normal. It started doing it again a few days later & is getting worse. I see a starter relay in the fuse compartment under the hood, are these relays known to go bad? Re: Starter noise? Eventually it got so bad that I would have to get out and bang on it with a hammer to get it to turn over. It gets worse with the heat. If I remember right it has something to do with contacts. I've been through 2 advanced auto parts starters for the same problem in 2 years. If you can rebuild your old one. Re: Starter noise?
