Need a Spot
I have a 90 toyo truck 4wd v-6, and I do not have a dashpot. I used to own a 93 and it had one. Is mine missing or did toyota not put them on engines until after 1990?

Thanks in advance.
Nik

Body Damage is Cool
I know trucks with auto tranny's don't even use them.
Strickly for manual transmissions. Is yours Auto?

my 90 is a 5spd manual and does not have one, but my 93 was an auto and it had one. both 3.0L engines.

I bought my 90 from someone, and the hole where the dashpot attaches has threads in it. I just dont know why someone would take it off, and not replace it.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Dashpot might have been sticking on it when the PO had it, and it costs about $60 from the dealership, that would explain the removal. I installed a new one on my 89 22re, did ok for a few months then it started sticking again, it might not have been the dashpot, im wondering if the spring controlling throttle plate is wore out.
