Well, logged almost 2000 kms, went from elevations of 200 meters to 1800 meters, crossed the continental divide, went through the rockies, and had a great time! There were five trucks, two genIs and a genII, along with an Xterra and a Frontier. We left on Thursday morn, got back yesterday afternoon. Our route took us from Calgary, through Banff, into BC, southwest through Kelowna, and to just outside Princeton, where the trailhead was. We spent two days on the trail, not super difficult, but some challenging sections, hillclimbs, mud crossings, water, etc. When you've got a LONG drive back home, you definitely don't wanna break... Anyways, everyone's trucks worked great: Eli's G54B was chugging along, and on the uphills going through the mountains he really surprised us. My little diesel blew some black on some of the uphills, and when I got above 1200m or so, I could really feel the altitude, but overall it worked like a champ. Temp never changed, and the torque on the trail was great as usual... Here's a few pics (remote linked via facebook)

All the way to Princeton, and you didn't come the last couple hours down to Vancouver for a beer with the GVRD crowd? Hmmph. Awesome pics.. which direction did the trail head out of Princeton?

superfantasticawesome time!
everyone should have faith in the g54b! pulled like a champ up the mountain passes (passing people with 33"s on the truck), averaged 20 mpg, comfy on the highway, and wheeled like a champ!
the 4d56 didn't fail to impress, chugged like a champ the whole way out (though a little stinky to drive behind )
and the 6g72 as always kicked some a$$ on the trail with dual LSD's.
as much as i hate to say it, even the nissans did well

Phil,
Did you get the Cibies from Sparky that were on the bullbar or are those your lights?
That pic of the dog laying in front & Angelo's comment remind me of Vacation with Chevy Chase. Remember after a pit stop they get stopped by a cop & he points out the leash is still tied to the back of the family truckster but with no dog attached...
None
