Well, my mechanic (I trust he is not bs'ing me) says the on top of no power to the fuel pump, car has no spark, the injectors are not working when cranking. He thinks it is the pick up coil on the distributor that has gone bad, or the ECU. He says the motor is basically the same as a Dodge Caravan, and has seen this before.
He's a good mechanic, but admits he has limited experience with Montero's. I thought I had spark, he says no, I don't get paid for working on my car (probably shouldn't have done it in the first place) he does due to his expertise (and I trust him).
Would appreciate any info and feedback.
