Getting the Wheeling Fever
I am considering running military spec H1 tires, Goodyear 36"x16.5 and was wondering how they are on and off road. I cannot find any info on them. Such as reliability, noise, 35 PSI performance on road.....I would like to know pretty much what anyone would ask about a tire. I know that they come with BB's on the inside to aid in balancing them out. What can y'all tell me. Thanks.

i think they are still as hell, or so ive heard. and 16.5's kind of suck for offroading, if you loose a bead its a pain in the ass to reseat it.

The 36x12.50x16.5 implies it is an older style bias-ply Goodyear MT...

After years of riding around in HMMWV's, I am curious as to whether or not Goodyear even made one of these tires round.

The radial versions were sized differently... 37X12.50R16.5

Well, they are a 16.5" tire, which means you'll need a 16.5" wheel, 99% of which are 8-bolt lug patterns. You can have them re-centered by a number of good vendors, but I think that's a LOT of work just to run an old school tire.

I have nothing important to say.
