I'm giving the Elocker serious consideration. I've read all the write ups I can find. I have a few more questions. To fit my '92 pick up can I use a diff out of a Tacoma or do I need one from a 4runner? How will my '92 ABS wiring connect to the Elocker diff? Will typical 4cyl or V6 Ring and pinion fit the Elocker? What install kit will I need?
'92 Toyota, 4x4, 22RE, winch, locker, 4.88's, 33's, 2" Body Lift.

4Runner and Tacoma E-locker are the same.
The ABS will not work with the elocker. You'll have to pull the fuse for the ABS, and you'll no longer have ABS.
Standard V6 r/p will fit the elocker diff.

so even though the Elocker diff comes with ABS, I won't be able to reconnect abs in my truck? Some parts supplyers are trying to tell me I need a special Elocker install kit to put in the ring and pinion. Is this true

On 2nd gen trucks, the single ABS sensor is built into the differential. The wire plugs right into the diff.
Newer 4Runners and Tacomas have 2 ABS sensors that are located on the end of the axle shafts, not in the differential. So the elocker does not have the hole in it that has the sensor.
I haven't set up my r/p yet on my elocker, but I don't believe you need anything special. You may have to swap pinion flanges (or re drill) since the bolt pattern may be different. I simply swapped the pinion flange from my old diff onto the elocker.

I just did the e-lock mod to my '93 Runner....you definitely loose the ABS. Remove the wire tail coming from the body, there is a connector near the gas tank. Then use the wire holders for your e-locker wire harness. And, remove the fuse, as said earlier or your ABS light will remain on.
This mod rocks by the way.....so nice to be able to push a button and have full lock to get through mud or over a rock...and still have good snow drivablilty when it is not locked.
'93 4Runner - 3.4L 5VZ-FE, 2" body lift, on-board-air system, custom gauge cluster, rear e-locker, electric fan, custom built front and rear bumpers, sliders, 4,88 gears...all on 33x12.5's.

A V6 R&P will work but the Factory E-Locker gears have a larger 30 spline pinion compared to the smaller 27 spline on the V6 R&P so a 27 spline flange will be needed.
E-Lockers also require a larger carrier bearing on the side of the third that has the locking mechanism hence the supplier telling you a install kit that comes with bearings will be different than than a non E-Locker kit.

A V6 R&P will work but the Factory E-Locker gears have a larger 30 spline pinion compared to the smaller 27 spline on the V6 R&P so a 27 spline flange will be needed. This must be only on certain elockers. I got mine from a '99 Tacoma TRD. The bolt pattern did not match my drive shaft, so I took the old pinion flange from my regular V6 third and put it on the elocker 3rd. So they both had to have been 27 spline.
