ok, so i just broke my egr pipe over the weekend and the exhaust leak is sweet!! to bad i was hundreds of miles from home and had to drive it back as-is. my question is how do you get the pipe off the back of the head? am i going to have to pull the head off? what if i just plug it? from what i've read it just puts exhaust gas back into the system to burn again...

Keep reading. There is a lot more to the EGR system other than "just" putting exhaust gas back into the system.

Second, tampering with the emissions system is illegal, and as such, is not a topic for discussion on this board. Please read our guidelines at the top of both forums.
