Need a Spot
I recently bought a 1995 extended cab 4x4 that has some rust holes in the driver side of the bed side. I found a bed at a junkyard that is in good shape. The bed is on whats left of a 2 wheel drive regular cab. Will it work??? It looks the same but hard to tell with all the weeds groing around it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" /> Thanks.

78 F-250 4x4 that I bought new, 76 CJ5 I should never have sold. 00 F-250 4x4, 95 Wrangler, Caterpillar 777C off road mining truck that I drive for a living.

The 2wd wheel wells are smaller than the 4x4, and they don't stick out as far. Measure the difference between it and your 4x4, you wil probably have to trim the fenders some, which you can then cover with some flares. The flares wil also allow you to run wider tires/rim combo if you want.

If you don't want to cut them and run fender flares, look for a standard cab 4x4, the 6' bed will be the same as the X-cab.

Body Damage is Cool
The bed will bolt right up.
The lack of flare in the wheel wells is the only difference.

i belive that is only true with the old body style trucks. the new body style pickup beds are the same.

called toyota a while ago, when looking for a bed to go on my truck. they were able to look up an old part number for '89-'95 2wd and 4wd beds. same number.

and the bed i ended up getting off a 2wd was identical to a 4wd bed. unless the 2wd i got the bed off had a 4wd bed on it? possible but unlikely.

I know the 2wd front fenders have a smaller opening than the 4x's. I would think it would look odd if the rears were larger than the fronts.
