uh, ok, did some checking....

if, in fact, the trannies are the same and the zuk adapters from OTT actually DO fit the Kia tranny, probably bolted in place of the tail housing OR, just using the Kia bellhousing/front half of the tranny case (provided the rear half of the Zuk case does bolt right to it), and bolting the Zuk tranny to the rear so that the adapters fit the correct bolt pattern, options become almost unlimited. OTT has a kit for mating just a toy t-case, a toy case to sammy case, a toy case to tracker case (i think), a toy case to d300 and a few others.

just a "for instance"- a stock toy crawl box plus stock dana 300 t-case with stock auto tranny and stock diff ratios nets 82:1 without bothering with the torque converter reduction, which really only takes place on take-off anyway.

with my d44 5.89's- 101:1

with marlin crawler 4.7's in the toy box and lomax 4:1's in the d300?

318:1!!!

ok, so that's one scenario. you could also go dual toy boxes, for 72:1 or with 4.7's in the rear case, 147:1!! or in both cases- 304:1

ridiculous...... but all this depends on either being able to bolt the OTT adapters to the rear of the Kia tranny case in place of the Kia tail housing

OR

being able to bolt the rear half of the Zuk tranny to the front half of the Kia tranny/bellhousing.

looks like it fits, but only way to tell is to get them side-by-side, start taking bolts out and fit it all up.

maybe that's my next step.

once i get out of the red, that is.....
