Getting the Wheeling Fever

thanks.i had heard or read that getting the transmission flushed...where they hook up hoses and pump fluid in and out can cause problems ( loosen sludge or particals) am i correct or am i just making that up?.lol would it be better to just drop pan and drain oil out?
