is there a dana 44 that will pretty much be a bolt on for a 92 yj and if so whats it out of<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
92 jeep yj re 4 inch lift revolver shackels front and rear 36 inch shocks in front 27 inch in rear 34 swampers ltb 2inch wheel spacers

call local junk yards for a 92yj with a dana44, or check out ebay or craigs list

MJ's and XJ's also came with D44's but can often be hard to find and are usually expensive because everyone is looking for them. You could probably find a stronger Ford 8.8 (bigger ring gear & 31 spline shafts) easier and for WAY less money (picked up my 8.8 out of a 99 explorer complete brake caliber to brake caliber for $75 bucks) plus you get the added benefits of rear disc brakes if you pick one up out of a 95+ explorer. Also with your leaf spring suspension all you have to do is weld the leaf pads in the right place and get a adapter flange so you can keep your existing drive shaft ($40 bucks Spicer P/N 2-2-1379) and you're good to go. On a side note the 8.8 is 5/8" narrower per side than your existing WMS-WMS so you'll need some spacers. Also forgot to add that the 8.8 comes with 3.55's, 3.73's or 4-10's. Hope this helps...

The 8.8 is not a direct bolt on. A used 44 from a same year or near is a direct bolt on. Big JIm <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />
