1.5 Years ago I had a terrible engine rebuild, just no power. And that lack of power kept getting worse until the truck would hardly run. What my mechanic discovered was the thin wire in the MAF(Mass air flow sensor) was caked in gunk. Simply cleaning that wire(not buying a new sensor) breathed new life into the rig. Will be interesting to see what happens to fuel economy. Also got rid of an early morning extremely high idle. So if your 3.0 is 15-20 years old, you might want to inspect that sensor the next time you are out cleaning your IAC motor.
