 Mirror Relocation Bracket Install Question?

I just got the Rugged Ridge Mirror Relocation Brackets to mount my side mirrors to the front windshield hinge on the YJ. While attempting to install and remove the bolts from the windshield hinge, I realized there is a nut holding in each bolt, which appear impossible to get a wrench on from underneath the dash, especially on the driver side, unless the whole dash needs to be removed? Anyone know about this? Thanks

Kfunk if we are talking about the same screws..them nuts is welded to the Jeep and shouldn't be turning when you twist the bolt.. Big Jim <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

BigJim thanks for the response. That's what I would have thought too, but when I loosed both the bolts on the passenger side windshield hinge (the lower part, where the bracket should be placed), they broke loose then just spun forever until I felt under the dash and found the nuts twisting too. Thoughts?

If you can reach them with your fingers you should be able to BEND a wrench to get in there...If not then you may have to weld an extension to the BENT wrench.. Yeah it don't seem right but if you were to look on my bench you'd find an assortment of wrenches that have done their duty! I have even drilled holes to put a long socket into to get to some of them.. Big Jim <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />
