I no longer hear the fuel pump engaging. I am wondering where a relay or fuse would be. I dont see one in the dash and I replaced the MPI fuse. Still nothing. Can the fuel pump go bad THAT suddenly? Wait, I dont need to ask that... If the fuel filter is blocked somehow will the pump cut off to keep itself from burning up? I believe I have it knocked down to being a fuel issue.

I think it's fuel related also, but it could be an electrical control function of the fuel system.

First, check to see if your pressure washing blew the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator.... it's at the rear of the passenger side fuel rail.

Next, connect the battery to the fuel pump drive terminal and see if the pump runs. Then check the control relay.

Also, check for power on the ignition switch in the "RUN" position.

Passenger side, behind the sidewall kick panel.... Do you need the FSM MPI section? If so, I can send it via email as a .pdf file.

Thanks but I found my copy. I can't believe how much of a PITA this has turned into. I still have my share of problems to fix on my Raider as it is.

I can't remember if it's possible to install the fuel filter reversed. Don't those filters have a directional arrow stamped on them? I'd recheck that.

no picture but C-42 appears to be a single wire male connector.black with white stripe . should be the same wire from the pump.
looking at 8-56 of fsm (MPI diagram) you can also just put 12 volts to the pump and it is the same as putting positive to the drive terminal

Mine was taped back against the wire bundle with some blue tape. It was pretty high up under the dash, well above the ECU and relays. Sorry, no picture...

Pump turns on when the engine first starts. stays on for a second after dying out. I am really starting to run out of steam working on this thing...
