yes got it fixed it occurred to me last night that the alt that was on the truck didn't have an insulator on the positive out post, after comparing with a spare alt i pick up at a salvage yard I noticed that the alt that was on there was the wrong one (body had a wider profile). I hate fixing other mistakes but i sure do love it when a plan come together, all my idiot lights are now off, didnt check A/C yet but I know that one of my relays was bad.
