My '93 2.5L was doing this about 1 year ago. After I changed out about $200+ in parts for fuel/spark it was still doing it. Decided to check the computer for any trouble codes (never threw the light <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> ) and got codes for the O2 and intake air temp sensors. Swapped them out and all is well with the world.
