I have bent my stock bumper back a couple times on the trails now. And it was time for something stronger. So I had some steel 1/4" plates cutout for mounting points. And this weekend I picked up some tubing and got to work.

Here is the finished product

And here is a picture of the lower mount, before I built the bumper.

I like it, clean, nice and tucked up.
The mount is a nice touch as well!

Bumper looks awesome. Just curious, exactly what kind of tubing did you use to build it. I have been thinking of building something similar but have been trying to figure out what kind of tubing to use. And what did you weld it with, stick welder, MIG, TIG? Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys smile

I drew up the mounting plates and had them cut locally with a CNC plasma cutter. It wasn't the cheapest way of making a mounting plate, but I wanted something different.

The tubing is 1 3/4" HREW .120" wal1, used a 220 mig welder with gas.

Looks freakin' great! I have seen none that are any better looking than the one you built.

Again thanks smile

With the turn signals, some people seem to hate them and others love them. I like the look my self, though after this weekends wheeling trip I think I will cut them off and weld them at a angle matching the bumper. They were tack welded in place before the bumper was finished so I could drive it home the first night.

The sliders are from www.4xinnovations.com I am very happy with them, and went with the DOM tubing. For the price, it just wasn't worth trying to make my own.

I have been looking at a lot of bumpers as well lately. And I couldn't find many that I liked as much as mine, as far as tube bumpers go
