Hi, what is the general opinun on FEL-PRO Permatorque MLS headseat HS 26186PT-2. What intest me is the use of multy shim pack,of shuc, for use as the head gasket. This type of gasket is new to me. Maybe I'm just not upto date? Like to know what you guys think...... Thank E.J.

I've worked in the engine rebuilding business for a number of years and Fel-Pro does make some good gaskets. Of course the gaskets rely on the vehicle systems to be in proper working order, so if your cooling system is not up to snuff, or your fuel system is running the engine lean, you put extra strain on the gaskets and risk failure. Also cleanliness is next to godliness when it comes to assembling engines.

To be honest, just about any gasket will work and hold up so long as your other systems are working properly...Fel-Pros do a pretty good job of taking a little extra abuse.
