I got my drum off - I have a few q's

One - I had to back the adjuster star off by a lot. I'm not sure why it got so tight. The trouble started after the truck spent a week commuting in DC traffic.

I had to beat the drum like a red headed stepchild and pry at the sides at the same time to get the drum off.

I noticed that all the parts, IE, the drum pads, springs ands such connected to it, would move around. They weren't in a fixed position. That seems weird to me.

Anyway, I cranked the pads back down and slapped everything back together. I have a feeling I will be doing this again, though.
