i just did an motor swap in my 86 4runner. so i got the long block of ebay its one of the remanufactured block and new head ect. i got it all back together and running. it idle and reves like it should. but when i drive it has an real bad bog. it feels like ther something holding it back. does anyone have any trouble shooting tips for me. it whould be much appreciated.

How many miles are on it since the complete rebuild?
It takes awhile for it to really build up to power (break-in time etc).

It's a bit of a 2-part deal.
The ENGINE needs to be rotated to TDC on the compression stroke BEFORE you stab the distributor.

Rotor should be pointing at #1 once set.

Also remember that you have to jumper the diagnostic plug before you set your timing in order to take the TPS out of the loop.

Carbed 22R's time ay 0 degrees, with Vac Advance hoes disconnected.
EFI 22RE's, set the timing to 5 degrees, with the jumper installed.
