I know the driveability on my old carbed Landcruiser (F engine) was a million times better on propane. With the carb, I had to warm that thing up driving back streets before I could think of trying to get on an express road or freeway. It used to kick and sputter if you got on the gas too hard. With propane, it was super smooth hot or cold and angle won't matter. Also, the engine ran very smooth, I could literally adjust the idle speed clear down to 0 RPM. I think I set it to idle around 400 to keep some oil pressure, but it would idle at 100 or below with no issues.
