What might be the cause of the white/yellow chalky buildup I'm finding in the bolt holes to hold my intake manifold to the head? There is so much build-up it completely caked the bolts in it as I pulled them out... coolant leak maybe? Thanks,

That and you live on the coast, so it'll tend to oxidize.
I put a small dab of antiseize compound on my bolts for reassembly; not much.

Usually a creamy globby mix substance is a water/antifreeze mixed with oil. Could it be a head gasket problem or a cracked head/block.
