So now it will run good but at times i get this sputtering. Its kinda like it is miss firing. I have the timing set correct and everything good. Wondering if maybe its my dizzy going bad? or any other thing anyone knows about. I have a 2.3 pup. Re: sputtering problem. How are you checking your timing? What was wrong with your old carb? Does it sputter only when cold/ hot, at idle? [Re: all we'll drive] #829946 08/13/07 02:20 PM Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 60 L Littlewhitepup OP Getting the Wheeling Fever new plugs, new wires, carb was all messed up and sticking. needed to be done. sputters randomly. checking timing with a timing light and a tach. dont know if it is running lean. the new carb has a fuel mixture screw and the stock one did not.
