Ok, so I pick the truck up from impound, and it says on the paper work, "no reverse"....

I check it out...

Nothing, nadda..

All forward gears work just fine... no slippage, nothing...

Reverse... nothing...

No check engine lights, of anything...

I just drove the truck on the 22nd of last month, and, it didnt have any issues...

Is there something electrical it could be?

I would HATE to have to rebuild this tranny over the damn reverse...

CHASE TAKE A LOOK UNDER NEATH ON THE PASS SIDE AND SEE IF THERE ARE INDICATIONS AT ALL OF ANY TRANS OIL SEEPING ,ALLSO ON THE MODE SW SIDE ,NOT AS COMMON, ON THE PAS SIDE IS THE ACCUMULATOR PISTON COVER AND IT IS NOTORIOUS FOR LEAKING AND NOT A LOT AT A TIME , IF IT IS ALL WET UNDER THERE OR APPEARS TO BE LEAKING, CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL OF THE TRANS ,THESE TRANNYS CAN LOOSE REVERSE WHEN LOW ON FLUID AND STILL ENGAGE FORWARD GEARS , WHEN LOW OF FLUID, BE SURE THE ENG IS AT NORMAL TEMP AND THEN PULL THE FILL PLUG AN SEE IF ANY RUNS OUT IF NOTHING RUNS OUT FILL IT UNTILL IT RUNS BACK OUT ON YOU, A LITTLE BIT OF AN OVERFILL WILL NOT HURT IT , BUT UNDER FILL IT DOESNT LIKE IT JERRY

Well, metal in the pan, varnish, etc...

Tranny is pretty much toast, and in need of a rebuild...

Which, I cant afford...

Can any of this be covered under your Insurance? Stolen vehicle, you got it back with a bad tranny.

Nope.... long story, but, they arent covering anything... Cant discuss the details behind that

I still need 2 tires, windshield, passenger door glass, and vent window of the same side... front shocks, etc...

If I didnt have a loan on this, I would scrap it for parts...

Eh, I was just whinning...

Paid the tranny shop today... so, the truck should be back to me, with a good tranny and a 2 year, unlimited mile warranty...

And, I am keeping this truck, as its trashed...she flippin' destroyed it..

My green truck goes up for sale as soon as the divorce is final... its in great shape still, and only has 56k on it...

So, need to get the white truck back into good shape, at least with glass adn rubber.. .body damage? HA, who cares...
