That doesn't look factory to me, but I may be wrong. Did the owner say it was from the factory that way? It looks like a decent hack-n-snap job. Cool find. You gonna get it?
Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

I haven't contacted him. I was just browsing since I;m in Orlando on business. If it's a hack, it looks pretty good.
Think I'll e-mail him and ask some questions.......

I just talked to the owner on this one. He says he doesn't think it's factory, because when he was poking around and removed the cover over the front seats, he said it has plywood under it. He thinks maybe it was some kind of kit someone made long long ago.
It doesn't look like a terrible job though.
Man, if that was factory, I might have had to buy it.

I remember someone here saying a dealer had 6 factory soft tops or something like that. My friend saw one for sale in FL a couple years ago. Was in bad shape, a lot of rust, but he said it looked/was factory.

I've heard rumors as well. A friend of mine who's a mitsu master tech told me a long time ago that a guy came into the dealer with one and they ordered a replacement rag top for him and that they had to special order it from Japan..

I don't think they were imported to the USA but it's called a "J top" and are available in the SWB across the pond. A parts supply company called Milners in England might have them. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />
