Need a Spot

i put a third member with 5.29 gears and aussie locker in front end and with hubs locked i can hear the gears when driving,then when shift into 4wd the sound goes away.i had a local shop setup the gears and locker and it all looked alright. any ideas why it does this would be helpful before i pull it all apart,thanks
