A few years back my mom had the ABS light on her Regal come on. The garage told her they could either fix some fancy computerized pulse something or other for about $500, or she could leave it alone and have old fashioned non-antilock brakes.

I guess my point is, with the light on, you may not be having any brake problems or anything, but at the moment you probably don't have ABS anymore.

Doah! Reread your original post, I guess you already knew you didn't have ABS anymore. I'll add though, she drove it with the light on for about 2 years until she traded it in.
