Need a Spot
No complaints here. They sent me a CSF 2306 3-row, which I installed tonight into my 85 22-R.

I was a little worried going with the 3-row because my old 2-row was a tight fit for the Marlin Crawler IFS steering box bracket/reinforcement on the inside frame rail, and it was necessary to bend out of the way on the old radiator part of the lower portion of the radiator mount to clear one of the steering box bolts bracket/reinforcement.

On the new 3-row, the radiator mount sheet metal doesn't extend as far down as far as my old one (i.e., the excess crap past the bottom mounting hole isn't there). Everything fit great without any drama: radiator bolts, fan shroud bolts, overflow tank outlet, upper hose, lower hose, and radiator cap.

While I was at it, I put in a new T-stat and fan clutch.

I love it when a plan comes together.

I've had good experiences with R Barn. CSF seems to be a good radiator. I bought a 3 row for my trail rig. The only complication I had with them is that they listed a 2WD radiator on the 4Runner page and I accidentally bought it for my daily driver (I just picked the least expensive radiator they listed for the 4Runner without reading the description). When it arrived and I figured out what happened, I called them. They were very friendly on the phone and checked up on it. They said that several of their manufacturer catalogs had that radiator down for the 1st gen 4Runner as a 2WD model. But they let me return it with no restocking fee. I'd certainly buy from them again.

STAY AWAY FROM RADIATOR.COM!!! (sorry for yelling... bad experience with those guys)

Interesting, I have a radiator.com three row that slipped in like stock. You do need to ask for their best prices though. My rad is for an auto tranny 4x4, I plugged up the tranny cooler inlets. I thought it might make a good PS cooler, which is a good theory... but it seemed to HEAT the PS fluid. Ah, well... good radiator so far.

Maybe they changed their ways or you got lucky. When I bought from radiator.com, they told me that I would get an OEM-quality radiator. Instead, they shipped me a piece of junk. It was thin, flimsy, and not even fully painted. It didn't even have a drain cock! I complained, and they swapped it for a different brand which seemed to be good quality. But it started leaking after a few months and eventually a column of fins simply fell out of it!

Well, that is my experience with them. It had to be 3 years or so ago. Maybe they have improved. I actually still run that radiator in one of my rigs. The leak plugged itself and it still cools fine.

Radiator.com, or RadiatorBarn.com?
I believe the latter is what's up for debate here.

I personally avoid any radiator site w/ the damn automated exployee fake repsonse system thingy. i believe in real carbon-bassed 80% water life forms.
