Personally I prefer Wix filters, or the Napa Gold filters, which are just re-packaged Wix filters. If you compare a Wix Air Filter to a comparable Fram filter, you will find more filter material in the Wix filter. More filter material = longer life, and better performance as a filter. Likewise the Wix oil filters have an anti-back flow valve, which will keep oil up in the engine instead of letting it drain back into the pan, so on the next start the engine still has oil.

well guys...

i replaced the filter - and the oil pressure is STIll at around 70-75 psi.. its really bothering me


anybody have any ideas ... anyhting at all?

is it safe to drive the jeep daily runnning that high of oil pressure?

If the pressure TRULY is higher the only other thing it could be is the bypass valve in the oil pump.. If it worried me I'd get myself a new pump.. But I'd sure spend some time thinking about it before tearing the bottom off of my engine..
A genuine mechanical gauge telling me I had 75 lbs at hot idle would be enough to get me on my back...
