Personally I prefer Wix filters, or the Napa Gold filters, which are just re-packaged Wix filters. If you compare a Wix Air Filter to a comparable Fram filter, you will find more filter material in the Wix filter. More filter material = longer life, and better performance as a filter. Likewise the Wix oil filters have an anti-back flow valve, which will keep oil up in the engine instead of letting it drain back into the pan, so on the next start the engine still has oil.
