Just buy a new float and rebuild the darn thing. Mine still passes smog after all these years.

I don't think so. I think the cutoff year is 85-86 then from 87 and up. Totally different computers/brains. Maybe somebody could check to see if this is true on the Montero, it is for the Truck.
