ok, well i replaced the wiper motor (no big deal it was running slow anyway) and still have an issue. so the next idea is to try replacing the intermittent switch... which is to the left of the steering column under the dash

but before i do that, what exactly i'm i going to get myself into? is it as difficult as the haynes manual makes it appear?
