It's not the timing chain to worry about...without oil pressure your engine will be seized in short order. If you don't have the factory oil pressure guage go buy a cheap one to confirm.
I'm pretty sure it's timing chain slap due to lack of oil pressure. Does the sound come from the front of the engine ? Hard to tell in the video.

I second the timming chain guides. had to turn off the video, could not stand to hear that sound again.
Well on my way to becoming that eccentric old man in every town.(crazy as a s#@thouse rat) With a yard full of desireable old vehicles that tells you, Sorry they're not for sale..... Someday I'm going to fix them.

You can use the spot where stock gauge sender is located (near the oil filter) or there should be a plug in the block behind the water pump outlet. If I were mounting the gauge permanently I would go electrical, if you only plan to test the oil pressure I'd just get a cheap mechanical unit.

so if my oil pressure is low how do i fix it when the dipstick reads full?
I was thinking maybe ill just give it an oil change and throw in some 20W50 that should give it some pressure if the oil pumps good and the oil is just watered down or somthing to lose its thickness. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />

First, make sure the oil light comes on when you turn the ignition on (before you start) and goes out after you start it. If the ligh doesn't come on with the key on then you may want to pull the gauge cluster to change the bulb. Another check you can do, with the engine off but key on, go to the pass side of the engine and next to the oil filter is the oil sender (screwed into the block), pull the wire off the sender and ground it. Look to see if the oil light is on. you may just need a new sensor.
There is a manual adjustment you can do to the oil pump chain which may be the cause of the noise. There is an access cover down low on the front timing cover held on by two 10mm head bolts and behind that another 10mm head bolt for the chain guide. remove the cover, loosen the guide bolt and push the guide down onto the chain. tighten and replace everything and try again.
That evil laughing/scraping sound after you rev the engine sounds like something vibrating against something else...maybe a loose or rusted part/panel or some exhaust hanger?
It also sounds as though the lash adjusters aren't pumping up (an oil change may fix this) or you have the manual adjusted ones and need to adjust them yourself.

are the lash adjuster for the timing chain? im going out now to try to adjust the oil pump but im going to change the oil too so i dont have to worry about that.

Valve lash adjusters or lifters. If they aren't pumping up you will here a ticking/tapping sound that increases with engine speed. If the thing has been sitting for a while, there is likely quite a few noises you'll hear until you get good oil circulating around through the thing. A couple starts/runs/cool downs before you pass judgement. Change the oil and run it a few times. Hold the rpms @ 2000 for a minute or so then let it idle for a few minutes and repeat. I wouldn't drive it just yet until the engine quiets down some (which it hopefully will with fresh oil).

I just picked up some 20w/50 oil and a filter also got some oil treatment just to help clean up anything the old oil didnt keep clean

Oil light comes on and goes off, So thats okay, Next i took off the plate and loosened the bolt, now the little adjust pin inside do i push it down? or do i lift it up? Please verify quickly so i can put this back together before it rains lol. Thanks!
