I searched and didnÆt find much on this. (Maybe I donÆt know how to search real good).

I am changing all of the fluids in my 90 Gen I Montero. The last thing is my auto trans fluid. The Haynes repair manual states that if the tranny has a drain plug it does not have a filter. So before I remove all of the things required to replace the gasket and filter, does my tranny even have a filter?

Also I found that Castrol makes a ATF that complies with Diamond-SP II, SP III
