Thank you for your replies. Since I have never even driven a 4x4 (besides a 4wheeler), I am really not sure how I will know if it is working. Will it make a sound when it is engaged? Is there a way to tell that it is ok? Thanks again!

I will be purchasing a 1999-2003 pickup truck.
