Not worth it, IMO (and I'm a carb guy). For the amount of work involved AND you'll be losing all the upsides to EFI. You'll wind up with less power, less economy, more stuff to screw up adjustment wise, and less ability to run the engine on steep angles.
That said, yes the intake will bolt right up. Only 4 wires to the carb: 1 Choke heater (off terminal L on alternator) 2 Idle fuel cut solenoid + 3 Idle fuel cut solenoid - 4 Outer vent control valve +
You'll need to change over to the carb coil/ignitor too I think.

I think you may have to change the fuel pump and tank as well.

Yes on the ignition systems and yes on the fuel stuff (pressure delivery is significantly lower)
I think this is the first time I've heard of someone wanting to convert back over to carb, aside from the gent I'm getting parts from, but he wants to simply keep his carb.
If still insistent, make sure you get the carb for the TRUCK, not the Celica, if going with an Aisin.

I don't have the ignition electronics but I have the intake, carb, all emission part( I wouldn't recommend unless you have to have them), and the distributor I pulled off of an engine I had in my 87. the carb is new, the intake needs cleaned, the distributor and fuel pump and everthing all work the truck ran I just decided to tear it apart and then I had to get rid of it(I moved) but I have all these parts for maybe $320(negotiable)if ur interested Id recommed going with the MSD SCI, or 6al ignition (or similar product) with a carb.

Stock intake, carb, and distributor for $320? Yikes... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />
Keep the EFI if at all possible. If converting to carb, you'll need to energize the fuel pump manually, step down the pressure.. Add a manifold, carb, and throttle cable. You'll need to redo the ignition system for mechanical / vacuum advance.
It's much easier to get the EFI right, IMHO.

Is $320 too much ? what would be reasonable for these parts I was looking at this stuck at LCengineering and its much more for all of that(I know its brand new) but I figured all this stuff together should be worth that but, I don't look for carb parts all that much. I want EFI!!

I want EFI!! To a stranger I would sell a carb for $50, intake for $50 fuel pump for $20, dist for $30 and well, thats all you need. So ya, I'd say 320 is a tad high. Thats also in NH where everyone and their grandmother has a toyota carburetor in their shed. -Scerb
