Almost done with my bumper thought I would share a couple of pics.

I left room for a winch and you can see, there will be some panels bolted into the "wings" and there will be tread plate (diamond plate) on the top. Also, need to add a couple of d-ring's but needed to stop working on this project for a while so I just used duplicolor for now, will have it powder coated when ts all done.

interested to know why you want to bolt on some panels instead of filling it in? If you are planning on installing the factory fog lights, I'm sure with someone of your skill could work them in there without making a panel.

Other than that, you got some pretty good skills there! Looks pretty F'ing cool <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> (Am I allowed to say that?) <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />

Using panels in an attempt to keep the weight down and have the opportunity to experiment. I just finished roughing up a couple of panels made from 1/8" aluminum tread plate (diamond plate) doesn't look that bad actually, will take pics tomorrow.

Materials are a combination of:
1/4" x 2" Angle
2" x 2" .120 wall tubing
1" x 2" .120 wall tubing
1/4" Plate
1/8" Aluminum Diamond plate.

Here is the latest pic.

I love the idea of the panels. Kinda like skins on a cell phone--change'm when you get bored! Football themed panels would be appropriate this time of year. Mean fab skilz bro!
