It's been a while since I posted here, I guess that's what happens when your toyota runs without any problems for years...

I have a 98 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4WD. It has the supercharger, the split second FTC, aftermarket fuel injectors (larger ones), iridium plugs, and higher rate fuel pump. My 4Runner has been running like a champ for nearly 3 years, but now around the 27-2800 RPM range it seems like it's choking out, then the check engine light starts to flash. It only happens when I get on the accelerator harder than normal. Sometimes the check engine light will flash, then remain off, sometimes, it will flash, and remain on. When it remains on, I reset it by disconnecting the battery. Any ideas about what could be wrong?

I took it to the German Toyota dealer, and they replaced the coil pack for the 4th cylinder. Didn't make a difference, except in my wallet. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />

My ideas... O2 sensor, or spark plugs, but the plugs look fine.

Thanks,
