Yep, as noted, no hubs to break/fail. But there is a documented fix for the flashing light problem on super select 4wd systems. Follow it all the way through and report back...

Only the 2.8's were fitted with glowplugs lights in the genII - for yours, listen for a click after you turn the key forward, but before you crank. After 2-5 seconds (depending on temp) you'll hear another click as the system cycles off. Now you crank it over. Fast clicks may follow if its cold enough to trigger the afterglow system, but will soon stop once the fuel is warmed up a bit.

The clicks are loud - you won't need a light.

And echoing from above, where in AB are you? My wife spied a Paj in Airdrie yesterday just like mine but a 4 door. Is that you by chance?
