The line fittings on the block,which is probably out of a Montero Sport are different from the original block in that regard. I also had to put an adapter on the block to hook up the proper oil pressure sending unit so the gauge would work properly again. Don't really know what the differences are since the original block isn't in the picture anymore.Going by the part numbers there must have been some changes incorporated in to the 3.0 blocks around 1999 or 2000. I figured that it might have to have an adapter like in many of the aftermarket units.
